Left 4 Dead Conceptual Poster

This was a project I had for my last semester in school where I was assigned to redesign an illustration I felt, "failed" at what it was trying to portray. I was first curious at the painting style seen in the loading screens that are made to look like movie posters in Left 4 Dead. Upon further inspection I realized they were just photographs that had either a filter run on top of them or just some brush strokes. They're photographs Frankensteined together which made them look kinda wonky. So I tried to make my own version fully painted. I have my own wonky issues but it was a fun and time consuming project.

Just started out playing with shapes and value and it gradually became another sci-fi looking girl; but this time with a bit more attitude.

Steam Latern

A piece I worked on originally in my last semester in school. Kinda got this steampunk, Jack the Ripper thing going on here. Touched it up a bit and fixed some issues I noticed.

Slowly getting back into the swing of things

Worked on this figure for a little while. Reminds me of some sci-fi game that came out for the Gamecube a long time ago and I cant remember what its name is.

Just some sketch I started on and decided to render. The proportions are odd but I had fun rendering and experimenting with different layer filters.

First attempt of the new year...

Got a little ways until I can get myself into a rhythm.

Guess I was feeling nostalgic to those older survival horror games (like Silent Hill).

Edit: Wish I knew why it was coming out so much darker in my browser than on my screen.
